Ujjwala Market
A skill should have somewhere to go.
Training ends in a certificate. Work ends in a sale. Everything in Ujjwala Market is made by someone in one of our livelihood groups — a woman running her own small enterprise, a smallholder farmer, a young person taking a first order. This is a purchase, not a donation: you are buying the product, and the maker is paid for the work that went into it.

The maker is paid first
We place a confirmed order and pay at an agreed rate, whether or not the batch sells quickly. A confirmed order is what lets a household plan a month.

Made where we work
Weaving, stitching, cleaning and packing all happen in the districts we work in — Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Nalgonda and Hyderabad — not in a city unit far away.

Surplus returns to the programs
After the maker and the materials are paid, what remains funds the same skilling, nutrition and dignity work our ledger already shows.

We do not publish a price until the production batch is costed and the trustees have signed it off — a made-up price would be the first untrue thing on this site. Where a price is shown you can place an order now; where it is not, request the batch and we will write to you with the real cost and dispatch date.
