How money is handled
- All donations are received into the organisation's bank account. No cash is collected by field staff or volunteers.
- Procurement for program rounds is made against invoices, and those invoices are retained and referenced in our expenditure summaries.
- Program spend is reported by round, not as an annual lump sum, so a donor can see what a specific round paid for.
- Eligible donations may qualify for deduction under applicable provisions of the Income-tax Act. Please consult your own tax adviser.
- Ujjwala Foundation accepts donations in accordance with its applicable Indian registrations and legal eligibility. We are not currently accepting foreign contributions.
