The problem
Menstruation is still the quietest reason a girl stops coming to school. We buy pads in bulk, deliver them to government schools ourselves, and pair every delivery with a plain-spoken hygiene session.
In many government schools in our districts there is no reliable supply of sanitary pads and little open conversation about menstrual hygiene. Girls miss class, and missed classes compound.

We returned in Year 3 and widened the district coverage instead of running a one-off campaign.
